Maine black bear are one of the most elusive game animals to hunt in the state, therefore hunting over bait is one of the most productive tactics. Make no mistake, hunting bear over bait is by no means easy and will test your patience, discipline and tolerance for bugs and weather. For those that are up to the challenge, the experience of seeing Maine’s largest carnivore at 50 yards or closer is well worth the effort.

We guarantee you will be placed over an active site that has been routinely baited with high quality bait for at least four weeks prior. Single and double tree stands, along with ground blinds, are strategically placed at varying yardages for whatever weapon system you choose to hunt with. Average shots range from 15-50 yards. Typical hunting hours are in the afternoon, but some baits are more active in the morning hours.
